Flush Joint
The patented Scope Production Flush Joint provides a valuable, economical and safe means to forward circulate sand away from the pump intake, since normal flushes do not always bring production back. With the use of the Production Flush Joint, the well is back on pump with very little downtime and reduced chance of sand settling above, around, or below the pump intake.

The Flush Joint is functional with the use of the Flushby Unit, by lowering the tubing the standard 5 meters of travel, while at the same time pumping fluid down the tubing to agitate sand and debris. By moving the tubing, sand bridges between zones can be removed to aid in oil or gas flow up the annulus, especially in wells with multiple zones.

Before and After Flushed

The key features of the Flush Joint include:
  • It endures 30-40 scope flush jobs
  • Barrel of flush joint is rated 6,000 p.s.i.
  • Mandrel is made from P-110 material
  • Even after multiple use, seals continue to pressure test
  • Pins on mandrel are rated at 125,000 lbs. shear
  • Scope tool threads to tubing hanger keeping tool at the surface and out of the elements
  • 3/4" Coil Tubing accessible

The Flush Joint has several ways in which it can be used:
  • Standard Flushby operated sand bridge removal tool
  • Stable foam stimulation with Scope's Foam Well-Head, utilizing the Flush Joint already installed in the well
  • The Flush Joint can be easily converted to use as a Pump to Surface assembly
  • The Flush Joint works in conjunction with Scope's Spring-loaded Tag Bar to aid in circulating within the well
  • Scope's charge-pump circulating sleeve improves the reliability of your charge-pump system on wells that have sand, gas, oil and water problems
